Marcel is a barber in Madrid, Spain. He contacted me because he wanted to improve his online presence and create an identity that would fit his personal interests. He is very much into bikes, beards, denim and tattoos.

The Logo That Came to Be
Mr. Das is Marcel’s alter-ego. Naturally, Mr. Das was formed by letters from his own name; “Cifuentes” was put aside, and after reading “Marcel D’Ascoli” a million times, the idea popped out.
Recycled paper, sorry…
When we talked about the site, he told me, “Hey, I’m not gonna be blogging, ain’t nobody got time for that”. So, very simple, we decided to just show his Instagram feed, and let the website fill itself with photos.
