Ricard Camarena Website

This UX on this one was a challenge. After a few tries with Ricard, we finally came with a concept that he found interesting: basing the whole aesthetic of the site on Valencia’s local time.

We are talking about a kitchen that evolves every day. It changes, adapts and works with the resources offered by the land and the sea of Valencia. On the other hand, Camarena’s feeling was the following: “I am in a very creative moment of my career and my website has to express that”. Our challenge was to design a website in which everything was in its place, each element was accessible and generated a reaction in the user.

Thus, Ricardcamarena.com is an analogy of Ricard Camarena’s cooking. Its navigation not only adapts to the time of day in which it is accessed, but also according to the season. A constantly changing website, like your kitchen, with which the user can also interact by clicking on “the engine of time” (clock located at the top of the interface) and discover how the website can change every minute, hour and day.

The range of colors used are earth tones, including caldera. These are the brand’s original shades that are present when the website is accessed before 12 noon and that begin to darken as the day progresses, adopting the night mode visual.

All the elements present in the landing positioned vertically call upon the axis of the earth, a concept that we worked on a few years ago, and is still valid, for the identity of Ricard Camarena Restaurant: Looking at the sky. Added to this is the simplicity in which the restaurant’s dishes are displayed, all the products for sale, as well as the rest of the chef’s premises and its news section.
